Market Duluth presents Bud Rice August 9

Bud Rice Is A singer songwriter With An unusually mature vision. Describing a world With songs in constant flux and TAKING ON THE prospect of a mob dizzied working to find a place Within it, Rice has Shown Himself to be a true spokesperson for his generation. With influences ranging from modern indie-folk such as Patrick Watson and Bright Eyes, to classic country and blues such as Muddy Waters and Johnny Cash, his songs have a richness of texture ranging from spare acoustic to rich experimental composition. Most of his desire to play music, came from his father David Gossage, Jazz and Celtic flute player. The perfect match for his songwriting style, his voice is subtly balanced and deceptively fragile. Immersed in diverse art forms since childhood, Rice is an adept guitarist and pianist who takes every opportunity to put his music into the hearts of many. Rice has been gigging in local venues around the Plateau and Mile End, and has just finished his first EP and is pushing toward an album. Enjoy.
