1 - April 26, 2009 Forum

This is a reminder to the general citizen forum that will conclude this phase of the responsible approach that we initiated in the framework of the revitalization of St. Viateur East. It is important to register to attend as seating is limited and to help organize the logistics of the dinner and workshops. One must register at the YMCA front desk for $ 5 per person and $ 20 for representatives of businesses and organizations. To encourage the participation of parents, a crèche will be provided free on site by the YMCA, but you must indicate your interest use by sending us a message. If you have a little time to devote to organizing this event, we are currently recruiting a number of volunteers to ensure the success of this event.

2 - Reports from cafes and other proposals from you

The 6 bars over, we can say that this stage has been very successful in terms of participation and exchange. You can visit the various accounts given by visiting the website of Appointment of Sustainable Development. (The minutes of the last coffee on the environment and the neighborhood will be green Online soon)
http://www.rvdd.qc.ca/fr/blogue/category/mile-end/

It's not too late to send us your proposals for further courses of action or Idea project by sending us a message ... or if you have any corrections to the content of the reports.

4 - Fundraising YMCA

YMCA Park is in the countryside community support to enable greater participation of both children, youth, adults and families to its various programs and activities. It is not just a sports center and the many community activities that take place are in need of financial support from people in the community. The Y Park has always supported the Citizens' Committee of Mile End since its inception in 1982! We can, in turn, seize the opportunity to help improve health and quality of life in our community.

You can donate by bringing it directly to the YMCA, 5550 Ave. Park
or online at https: / / campaign.ymcastrongkids.ca / SSLPage.aspx? pid = 192

A big thank you
Schirardin Claudine, a volunteer at the Y Park

5 - Travel Plan Urban high plateau, to see more clearly meets Citizen on April 7!

Following the adoption by the majority of the elected Board of Plateau Mont-Royal Travel Plan (PDU), some applaud this initiative as expected, others criticize it is located far enough and fast enough ... what it really? The transportation committee of the Grand Plateau, led by Dawn's house, is organizing a meeting Tuesday, April 7 to try to see things more clearly. recall that this group has its own approach on the citizen transportation plan that was submitted as a brief at the hearings of the PDU, a commendable job! Recall that at a meeting that citizen June 3, 2008, the Citizens Committee of Mile-End has supported and welcomed the approach supported by the Maison d'Aurore.

urban travel plan adopted and reactions
: The urban travel plan of the Plateau was adopted earlier this month by the borough council after a long period of two years. Councillor and opposition leader Richard Bergeron of Projet Montréal objected, finding that the plan does not go far enough and fast enough.

Recall that the Citizens Committee Mile End had filed a brief in support of the residents of the avenue de l'Esplanade seeking measures to ensure that their street is not a street transit traffic. The Committee also welcomed and supported the work of the House of Dawn, which has its own process of citizen PDU. This agency invites you to a meeting on the subject:

Waste Recovery Vs : our Recycling. Will it in the right place?

word from the Mayor

Dear Resident, Dear residents of Plateau Mont Royal,

I am writing today because the past few weeks, I received several calls and emails from concerned residents about the change of trucks that collects the recycling. Have no fear, Plateau always recycles despite the change of type of truck! Given that the recyclables collected are now "bundling", the "green" lorry separator is no longer necessary. Materials for recycling are carried in these trucks until Saint-Michel Environmental Complex in order to sort by.

Also, please note that major changes are coming during the week of March 30: The collection of recycling, which has always conducted on Wednesday, will be replaced by new schedules. In addition, it will be done by blue-collar borough in trucks that have been disinfected, cleaned, painted and it will be the private contractors who will perform the collection of garbage. A box will be distributed to all the gates of the borough to inform you of these changes that affect us all.

Plateau is close to achieving the recovery objectives of the Québec Residual Materials Management: congratulations to all and keep up the momentum!

Cheers,

Fotopulos

On behalf of the coordinating team of the Citizens Committee of Mile End, I wish you good weekend and Monday for our 6th and final coffee-citizen!
